The lighter side of entrepreneurship

This isn’t really coworking related, but it shows the lighter side of entrepreneurship.

I found the video below via Getanewbrowser. The guys from SkinnyCorp seem to have an amazingly simple business model that works!

Coworking Ireland Survey – Win 150 euro prize

We are interested to find out a bit more about the potential Irish coworking community. I thought it might be a good idea if we ran another coworking survey.

Click here to Start the Coworking Survey.

To incentivise this a bit, I decided I would offer a prize of €100 euro. We will do a prize draw on the 29th June. Winners will be notified via email.

As a further incentive, I will also offer a €50 euro prize to the person who links to, and sends the most visitors to this page (over the same period).

If you are sending people to this survey please send them via this page:

http://www.coworking.ie/coworking-ireland-survey/

For the charitable people amongst us, the prize money can also be donated to the charity of your choice. If a charity donation is made (with the prize money), I will match the amount donated. Ps: The prize money is coming out of my own pocket.

  • 24 hour access to the building
  • Secure, 1 hour fireproof doors on each room
  • 24 hour security cameras (digital) around the building.
  • A really relaxed atmosphere.

Pics 1-4 are of the room on the top floor. This space is currently in limbo as someone else has first dibs on it. This seemed to be the best of the 3 rooms that we viewed. This room has lot of natural light provided by two large windows and has huge potential. The space could hold 4-5 comfortably.

Pics 5-6 are of the second smaller room. This room has some natural light and could fit 2-3 people comfortably.

Pics 7-9 are random shots from around the building. The place has a really nice vibe around it. As Paul mentioned before, this is not your typical corporate space.

The Idea Factory with Coworking as a Medium

The concept itself is nothing new. Freelancers and small business have always teamed up for office shares. What makes coworking any different? In my mind the definition of an office share would be simple “A closed group of people spreading the cost of an officeâ€?. Whereas coworking is the next evolution of this model.

Think of it this way, what if you could not only spread the cost of your business, but quickly and easily pool resources with a larger community of likeminded individuals? Your office share is limited to a stagnant pool of talent that will rarely change. What if your community was more fluidic? How would that affect your business model?

This is the next revolution of business. Coworking allows seamless collaboration between companies and individuals who may never have met under other more static environments. Our new economy will be built on ideas and ideas need the right environment to grow. When creative minds are provided with an ideal environment and are supported by peer’s ideas with turn from good to ingenious.
